2. What data we collect

When you use our website or make a booking, we may collect:

3. How we use your data

4. Legal basis for processing

We rely on the following legal bases under UK GDPR:

5. Sharing your data

Because we act as an agent connecting you with independent Skip Companies, we share your booking and contact details with the Skip Company who will fulfil your order - full name, delivery address, contact details, skip size/hire dates, any special site instructions, and confirmation that payment has been taken (never your full payment card details, which are processed and stored only by Stripe).

We also share data with:

We do not sell your personal data to third parties.

Skip Companies we work with act as independent data controllers for the data they receive from us in order to fulfil your booking - their own privacy practices apply once they have your details.

Some pages also display review content (star ratings, review text, and reviewer names/photos) sourced from Google's Places API, for skip companies with a public Google Business Profile. This content belongs to Google and the reviewers themselves, not to us - it is not data we collect about you, and no personal data about visitors to our site is sent to Google as part of displaying it. See Google's own Privacy Policy for how Google handles this content.

6. How long we keep your data

We retain booking, invoice, and transaction data for 6 years, matching HMRC's record-keeping requirements for VAT and Corporation Tax, and the time limit for bringing a claim under the Limitation Act 1980 and the Consumer Rights Act 2015.

If you close your account or ask us to erase your data before that 6-year period has passed, we remove the personal details that identify you (name, email, phone number, saved addresses) and lock the account so it can never be used again, but we keep the underlying booking, invoice, and payment records themselves - without them we cannot meet our own legal obligations, defend a claim, or keep proper accounts.

7. Your rights

Under UK GDPR, you have the right to:

To exercise any of these rights, contact us at privacy@priorityskips.co.uk.

8. Data security

We use appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your data, including secure payment processing via Stripe and restricted access to personal data within our business.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The most current version will always be available on our website.
