1. What are cookies

Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit our website. They help the site function properly and, where you agree to it, help us understand how the site is used.

2. Cookies we use

Strictly necessary cookies (always active - no consent required). These keep you securely signed in and remember your progress through a booking. The site cannot function properly without these.

Analytics cookies (only set if you choose "Accept Analytics" on the cookie banner). We use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use our site - which pages are popular, how people find us, and where visitors run into problems - so we can improve it. Google Analytics sets cookies including _ga and _ga_*, which store a randomly-generated ID and are not used to identify you personally. These typically last up to 2 years, or until you clear your cookies or withdraw consent. Data is processed by Google in accordance with Google's own Privacy Policy. You can opt out at any time by choosing "Necessary Only" on the cookie banner, or by using Google's browser opt-out add-on.

Site-activity cookie. Unlike the cookies described above, our own first-party ps-visit cookie is set on every visit, regardless of which choice you make on the cookie banner. It helps us understand how visitors move through the site - which pages they view and for how long, simple interactions like a postcode search or a skip size selection, and your IP address and browser type. It does not store your name, email, address, or anything you type into a form. This data is kept for up to 30 days and then deleted. On rare occasions, an administrator may view a real-time view of an active session (what's currently on screen) for support or quality purposes. This cookie is deleted once you clear your cookies.

Advertising cookies (only set if you choose "Accept All" on the cookie banner). We use Google Ads to measure how effective our advertising is - for example, whether someone who clicked one of our ads went on to book a skip. Google Ads sets cookies including _gcl_au, which do not identify you personally. These typically last up to 90 days, or until you clear your cookies or withdraw consent. Data is processed by Google in accordance with Google's own Privacy Policy. You can opt out at any time by choosing "Necessary Only" or "Accept Analytics" on the cookie banner (neither sets advertising cookies), or by using Google's Ad Settings.

Other than ps-visit (described above), we do not currently use any other functionality/marketing cookies. If that changes, this policy will be updated first, and any new cookie of that kind will only be set once you've given consent through the cookie banner, not before.

3. Third-party cookies

Our payment provider, Stripe, may set its own cookies when you reach checkout, in accordance with Stripe's own privacy and cookie policies.

4. Managing your cookie preferences

When you first visit our site, you'll see a cookie notice. You can also control or delete cookies at any time through your browser settings, though blocking strictly necessary cookies will affect your ability to sign in or complete a booking.

5. How long cookies last

Our own session cookie is deleted when you close your browser or sign out. If you accept analytics, Google Analytics cookies (_ga, _ga_*) persist for up to 2 years. If you accept all cookies, Google Ads cookies (_gcl_au) persist for up to 90 days. Either way, until you clear your cookies or withdraw consent.

6. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time to reflect changes in the cookies we use or legal requirements. The current version will always be available on our website.
